Visual

Map markers, and ESP through walls on your own screen.

The Visual tab is for what you see in the game. Nothing here changes anyone else's screen. It has two pages, Map and ESP.

Map markers

Turn on Player Markers and open your full-screen map. Every player is drawn on it as a dot in their faction's colour, with their name, and a sign if they're dead or in a vehicle. It's the game's own map, so panning and zooming work as normal and the markers follow along.

Needs See every player on the map (view_player_locations).

Tick Also show AI to add every living AI character too. They get a faction coloured dot marked "AI" and no name, because on a busy server names would bury the map.

Vehicle Markers does the same for vehicles, with the vehicle's name and who's in it. You can pick which ones:

  • Empty: nobody inside.
  • AI: crewed by AI.
  • All: every vehicle.

Needs See every vehicle on the map (view_vehicle_locations).

Colours at a glance: a pale marker is an empty vehicle, red has AI inside, gold has players in it. Dead players show in grey.

How the markers work

Your own game only knows about players near you, so positions come from the server. They're only sent while your map is actually open, about every two seconds, and nothing is sent when it's closed.

The switches are yours for the session. They're not saved, so they're off again next time you join.

ESP

ESP draws players and AI on your screen through walls: a skeleton over each character, their name and how far away they are. Switch on Show ESP on the ESP page. It needs See players through walls (view_esp).

You choose what gets drawn:

  • Who: players, AI, and dead bodies if you want them.
  • What: skeleton, box, head dot, name, distance, the weapon in their hands, and snaplines (a line from the bottom of your screen to each one).
  • Max distance: 100 m up to 2 km.
  • Colours: each side's faction colour, friendly and enemy (green for your side, red for the other, gold for no side), or one colour of your choice.
  • Line thickness and text size. Lines scale up on bigger screens so they don't go thin at 1440p or 4K.

AI are drawn a little fainter than players, and the dead in grey. Default Settings puts everything back.

A few things to know:

  • It can only draw characters your own game has loaded, which is roughly your view distance. Nobody further away is streamed to your PC, so there's nothing to draw.
  • It hides itself whenever a menu or the map is open, and switches off when you leave the server.
  • To keep an eye on one player, use Track on ESP on Online players. They're drawn in gold with a line to them, even if your filters would hide them or they're past your max distance.
  • Your ESP options are saved on your own PC, in Visual/esp.json in your game's profile folder, so they're the same on every server you play. The on/off switch isn't saved and starts off each time you join.
