Asset Spawner
Search everything Game Master can place, and place it.
The Asset Spawner lists everything Game Master can place: vehicles, weapons, gear, characters, groups, props and structures, modded ones included. It needs Spawn assets (spawn_assets).
Finding something
- Search matches the name and the file name, as you type.
- Categories narrow it down: characters, groups, vehicles, items, structures and props, or other.
- Each asset shows the same preview picture Game Master uses, twelve to a page. Previous and Next move between pages.
The list is read from the scenario the first time you open the tab, a few at a time so the game doesn't stutter. On a big modded server that can take a few seconds, and after that it's instant for the rest of the session.
Placing it
Click an asset. The panel closes and Game Master opens with that asset already in your hand, ready to put down wherever you like, the same as picking it from Game Master's own list. Rotate it if you want, then click to place it. Game Master closes by itself once it's down and you're back in your character.
If you change your mind, cancel it and pick something from Game Master's own list instead. Game Master then stays open like it normally would, and you close it yourself.
If you don't have Game Master
You don't need it. The spawner lends you Game Master while you use it, and takes it back when you close Game Master, or when you leave the tab without placing anything. If you already have Game Master, nothing changes.
While it's lent you have full Game Master, not just placing, so only give Spawn assets to people you'd trust with it. Every time someone opens Game Master through the spawner it goes in the admin log and to Discord's Admin used an action event, with what they picked.
Bypass budget
Game Master has a budget: a cap on how many AI, vehicles and props can be in the world, and it won't let you place past it. If you have Ignore the Game Master budget when spawning (bypass_budget), a Bypass budget? box shows under the search bar. Tick it and the cap is ignored for you while you place, until you close Game Master. Everyone else still has the normal budget.
The box stays ticked until you untick it or close the game. It's there for a reason, so watch it: a few hundred AI will hurt the server's frame rate far more than the budget would've let you. Placing with it ticked is marked "(budget bypassed)" in the admin log and on Discord. Owners and admins have it by default, moderators don't.
