Online players

Everyone on the server, and what you can do to them.

The Online Players tab lists everyone on the server. You need the See online players permission (view_players) to open it.

The list

Each row shows a player's name. The search box matches names, GUIDs and Steam IDs, so you can paste an ID from a report and find the person straight away.

Click a player to open their panel on the right. The top shows their player ID, Bohemia GUID and Steam ID. The IDs are only filled in if you have See GUIDs and Steam IDs (view_identities), and blank otherwise.

Actions

Below the IDs is the list of things you can do to that player, grouped the same way as the Operator tab. Only the buttons you have permission for are drawn.

These work today:

Action Permission What it does
God Mode god_mode_others Toggles god mode on them.
Invisible invisible_others Toggles invisible on them.
No Spray weapon_tweaks_others Every round they fire goes exactly where they aim. For testing.
No Recoil weapon_tweaks_others Their weapon doesn't kick. For testing.

Plus everything in the sections below. Every button on this tab works.

God mode and invisible are the same toggles as on the Operator tab, with a green or red frame showing whether they're on for that player. Having god mode for yourself doesn't mean you can hand it out. That's a separate permission.

Life

Action Permission What it does
Heal player_care A full heal, the same as Game Master's: health back, bleeding stopped.
Revive player_care Heals and wakes them from being unconscious. If they weren't down, it just heals them.
Remove Stuck State player_care Moves them to the nearest clear open ground. In a vehicle, the whole vehicle moves somewhere it fits.
Kill player_punish Kills them, the same way Game Master does. It won't work while god mode is on, turn that off first.
Force Respawn player_punish Sends them back to the deploy screen. No death, no body, no kill feed, and their gear goes with the character.

None of these work on someone who's already dead, they're on the deploy screen anyway.

Inventory

All three need Change inventories (inventory).

  • Strip Weapons takes every gun, launcher and grenade they're carrying, with whatever's loaded or attached.
  • Strip Inventory takes everything except the clothes they're wearing. Their uniform, vest, backpack and helmet stay on, just empty.
  • Adjust Magazines asks how many (1 to 20) and gives that many of each magazine their weapons take. A rifle with an underbarrel launcher gets both kinds, a launcher gets rockets. Anything that won't fit is skipped, and you're told how many.

Kill, Force Respawn and both strips need a second click within a few seconds, so a misclick can't wipe someone's loadout.

Vehicle

These act on whatever vehicle the player is sitting in, and need Vehicle actions (vehicles).

  • Eject from Vehicle pulls them out, even through a closed door.
  • Start Vehicle and Stop Vehicle turn the engine on or off. If a player is driving, it happens on their game, the same as if they'd pressed the key themselves.
  • Refuel Vehicle fills every tank. Repair Vehicle fixes every damaged part, a flooded engine included, but not a burnt out wreck.
  • Refill Vehicle Ammo tops up every weapon on it.

Faction and rank

All four need Faction and rank (faction_rank).

  • Set Faction opens a list of the sides you can play in this scenario. Pick one and they switch, then go back to the deploy screen to spawn as that side.
  • Set Rank opens a list of the ranks their side has in this mission, so it always shows the right names, modded factions included. Their current rank is marked.
  • Promote and Demote move them one rank up or down.

In modes that give ranks from XP, like Conflict, their XP is set to match the new rank, so it sticks and carries on from there. Everywhere else the rank is put straight on their character and comes back after a respawn.

Movement

  • Teleport To puts you next to them, on open ground if they're outside. Teleport to Me brings them to you. Both need Teleport and freeze (teleport). You can teleport to anyone, only bringing someone to you follows the rank rule.
  • Freeze locks their movement where they stand. They can still look around. It's a toggle with a green or red frame, and it stays on through a respawn until you turn it off.

Visibility

  • Track on ESP always draws that player on your ESP, in gold and thicker, with a line to them, whatever your ESP filters say. If your ESP is off it switches it on. Needs view_esp.
  • Spectate opens Game Master's spectate camera right on them and closes the panel. Close Game Master to come back. Needs Spectate players (spectate).

Moderation

  • Warn asks what to say, then shows it as a big red-edged card in the middle of their screen for 10 seconds, with a copy in their chat. If they're in a menu it waits until they close it. Conduct's automatic warnings use the same card. You can warn yourself to see what players get. Needs warn_mute.
  • Mute asks how long (5 minutes up to a day) or unmutes. It's done on the server, covers every chat channel including Global, and lasts through leaving, rejoining and restarts. Needs warn_mute.
  • Kick asks for a reason, shows it to them for a few seconds, then kicks. The reason goes in the admin log and to Discord. The kick screen they get always says "Kicked by Game Master", the game's own message, which a mod can't change. Needs kick.
  • Ban asks how long (1 hour up to permanent) and why. It goes on Bohemia's server ban list, the same one the game uses, so it survives restarts. On a local test server that isn't on the Bohemia backend it only lasts until the server restarts, and the panel tells you so. Needs ban.
  • Give GM gives them Game Master, or takes it away if they have it. Server admins logged in with #login get it from their role, so it can't be taken from them here. Needs give_gm.

Kicks, bans and warnings also post to the matching Discord events if you've set them up.

Telling the player

When staff do something to a player, that player gets a message saying so, for example "ozzie turned your god mode on." or "ozzie healed you." If you'd rather it said "a staff member", turn off name staff in notices in server messages.

Nothing is sent when you do something to yourself.

Rank still applies

You can't act on staff ranked the same as you or higher. An owner can act on anyone. Every action also goes in the admin log and to Discord's Admin used an action event.
